Dirty Old Town is the best film I’ve seen all year. I’ve advocated the viewing of this since I first heard about it quite a while ago but only recently was I finally able to see it. I STRONGLY recommend you pick up a copy or at the very least, rent it on Itunes to watch in your bunk while on tour (hint , hint).

I don’t watch much television but hearing that Billy Leroy was going to be starring in a show, Baggage Battles on the Travel Channel, was pretty killer news. Of course I’m not the only one that’s bummed Bowery Billy shuttered Billy’s Antiques (however, a triumphant return, avec air conditioning, is expected over the next few years) though I wish I could have been there for the funeral procession…

(Interesting side note: how amazing + appropriate is it that Billy’s lady, the beautiful Lorraine Leckie, is wearing a beloved monkey fur coat in the videos above?)
